Policies

myAVguy is a service-driven company deriving its value through services rendered and the payment thereof. As such, we are able to pass along great equipment savings to our customers. As such, we have the following policies to ensure we care for and treat all of our customers fairly, with a long-term relationship as our commitment.

Return Policy
Any equipment purchased from and installed by myAVguy will require a 20% restocking fee for returns. In addition, Credits will only be issued for returned items. Returns will only be accepted if products are in their original packaging, purchased within the past 25 days, the product is not discontinued and the product is in mint condition. Should un-installation be required for the return, myAVguy will bill for service rendered accordingly.

Customer Payment
Total payment is due upon receipt of services rendered. There will be a $40 fee for all returned checks, in addition, balance will be paid via Cashier's Check or valid Credit Card. All past-due accounts may be charged a minimum 1.5% monthly service charge on the outstanding balance. In the event that collection action is required for past-due accounts, the customer agrees to pay all collection expenses including attorney's fees and court costs.
Customer Attendance
myAVguy requires that the customer (18 years of age or older) must be in attendance upon completion of service rendered for any and all instruction and required approval. In the event that a customer is not present or cannot be present, additional charges may be incurred for any rescheduling of instruction or approval, including Trip Charge and hourly service fees. The customer is responsible for payment of services rendered as discussed in Customer Payment.
Warranty Policy
All products sold by myAVguy are covered under individual Manufacturer's stated Warranty. In an effort to best serve our customers, myAVguy does not push any extended warranties that are often invaluable, but will make available such extended warranties at the customer's request. In the event that equipment sold becomes defective under the Manufacturer's Warranty, myAVguy will schedule an appointment, un-install, package, ship and track the defective equipment as well as track, receive, re-schedule and re-install the replacement equipment with customer permission at the regular hourly rate and associated trip charged, including all shipping charges associated. All such expenses can be avoided if the customer purchases a myAVguy exclusive Product Service Warranty.
Pricing Policy
Because every location is different and surprised lurk behind the walls, myAVguy avoids quoting an exact amount of time on speculated work, rather, it is our strong recommendation that our customers take advantage of our In-Home Consultation services where we can provide an Estimate with a "Not to Exceed" price. Should one of our our AVguys encounter any unforseen delays during work in progress, we will make every effort possible to communicate such impedance and work with our customers to create the most cost effective and time saving solution. If our customer wishes to avoid any additional cost due to this unforseen impedance, then myAVguy will complete the installation and bill accordingly. It is for such occasions that myAVguy has its Customer Attendance policy.
Existing Equipment Policy
Unless otherwise specified by our customer, myAVguy assumes that all existing equipment is in working order before and after conducting our installation services. myAVguy is not responsible for any of the customer's broken or malfunctioning equipment before or after service is complete.
Installation Guarantee
myAVguy stand behinds our workmanship for a period of One Year. Although myAVguy is not be responsible for manufacturer related defects, updates or changes to their equipment we will work with our customers to ensure they are aware of such changes and will create a solution to help.
